A number of eerie things have happened on this bridge, including a woman's ghost being chased by hounds, apparitions of children playing on the tracks below, disembodied footsteps/footprints, and the sounds of a phantom baby crying.

  • THE WOMAN?

When I went to this bridge I thought people were joking around but suddenly I hear the cry of a woman and dogs barking like some barn dog or something but then I heard some baby’s cry’s so I think the cotter bridge is like the legend of la llorona but America version try at your own risk I guess.

  • Born and raised in Cotter

I can 100% say that I lived in Cotter for 17 years and my dad was born and raised there. We have never seen or heard anything about the bridge being haunted. This made my night.

  • Please do not visit

I’ve dealt with the paranormal, I’ve lived with demons my cousin used to do black magic. I don’t know what I saw but it still has me scared. I’m giving you this warning for your safety I don’t know what’s there but whatever it is it is violent and will inflict harm.

  • This happened tonight

It’s December 26th, 2020 I was walking the bridge with my friend and I saw this white figure jump off the bridge right in front of me. They almost seemed to float down before disappearing into thin air. I told her not to throw a mirror over the bridge but she proceed to do so. We go to the park and sit while there we immediately proceed to get pelted by rocks from this mysterious child figure on the bridge. While I go back up to the bridge later i fell calm. It’s cool and a little foggy, all of a sudden I get the urge to run like I’m in danger. I run to my car and lock the doors immediately after doing this there’s a blood curdling scream which rocked me to my core. I tore out of there and I don’t plan on going back. I’m shaking right now while I type this.

  • The scream

My name is Dominic. I was homeless in 2019 during the summer so I camped under the cotter bridge.. while waiting for night fall, I hung out with kids down at the spring. The next thing I know is I heard what was a female voice screaming. It was so loud but faint at the same time because the corps had all the generators running on the river. We all rushed to the riverside and tried to locate the women we thought was in distress. But no body was found. I even directed some of the kids to drive their trucks up to the bridge and see if they could spot any one. But there wasn't any one. What's weird is my mother heard it when she was younger and told me and my sister there was always a monster at the end of the bridge......

  • trying to find out any info

so apparently this family was killed and the killer was never found out somewhere near the cotter or around the cotter many yrs ago. but apparently he goes by the name as "The White Man". he is super fast and appears as a white man or silhoutte of a man. connected to the cotter and if you disrespect any of the land he comes after you. Ummm just wondering if any one knew anything else about it or has seen anything. I have heard other peoples accounts of things happening to them and people ending up in hospital. i really need to find more info on this.
