This road is said to be haunted by a ghostly hitchhiker and some say going down the road, you can feel a presence surrounding you, watching you. Hauntings may have to do with the fact that there is a hanging tree nearby from long ago.

  • Local History

    My family grew up in Lick Skillet. Our great grandparents told of early settlers traveling through the valley & their little girl becoming lost, never to be found. Family members have told for generations the feeling of "a presence" in this area, with some members refusing to visit the area altogether.
